Chapter History – North Central Texas
The North Central Texas chapter was founded in 2007 by Dr. Betty Veasy and other spirit filled women that wanted to make a difference in the communities they served. We became a chapter that lived the mission of NHBW advocates for African American females and their families by reaching out to women of domestic violence, history of breast cancer and reading to children to help improve literacy. According to Hosea 4:6 ” My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Our mission to make sure anyone we come in contact obtains the knowledge to make the best decision they can.
